The natur(al environment) is for me the place where my body, and especially my mind find rest. For this reason I find it important to investigate the effect of our human actions in relation to the nature. The price we have to pay for our desire for growth and progress. With my work I let the viewer think about the way we deal with our natural environment.
With a curious and critical eye I look at the ecological side effects of industrialization and urbanization. The disturbed relation between man and the natural environment is central in here. I decompose forms of ‘changing-nature’ in experimental and technical studies that are part of my research to understand the subject. By this kaleidoscopic way of working, I can open myself and the viewer to re-look at our environment and to understand our influence on it.
At first it's my intention to deceive the viewer. Therefore, aesthetics play an important role in my work. You'll be enchanted, without exactly knowing what I did or what it is about.
